Shadows Wedding Hire Cars Terms and Conditions

1. Bookings are confirmed one the booking fee has been paid. A non-refundable booking fee of £25.00 is required. The balance outstanding must be paid no later than 14 days before the Wedding date. If the balance is not received by Shadows within the stated period this may result in the vehicle/vehicles not turning up on the day unless a prior arrangement has been made with Shadows.
 
2. Cancellations must be made in writing to Shadows Wedding Cars. All cancellations incur a charge (minimum amount £25.00). Should the hirer cancel within 60 days of the wedding date the balance is due in full. In the event that we secure another booking for the vehicle for the same date all monies will be refunded, less the booking fee.
 
3. In the event of the hirer changing the date of a booking we will transfer the booking fee to the new date if that date is available. However, if the new date is unavailable the hirer will forfeit the booking fee.
 
4. Shadows Wedding Cars reserves the right to substitute vehicles in the event of mechanical failure or other circumstances beyond our control. A substitute vehicle will be supplied at 50% of the full cost or a full refund will be offered should the available vehicle/vehicles not be acceptable to the hirer.
 
5. The vehicles will be clean inside and out and decorated with white ribbons and silk flowers on the rear parcel shelf, where applicable. (Colour to match the bridesmaids dresses).
 
6. The vehicle/vehicles will arrive at the agreed time and date specified at the time of booking. The hirer must ensure that all agreed passengers will be ready for departure at that time. No additional journeys will be made other than those agreed in advance.
 
7. No responsibility can be taken for route closures or for restrictions relating to vehicle access to any location or hold ups on route or adverse weather conditions. We cannot be held responsible for late arrival or cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control. We reserve the right that during severe winter conditions to substitute the chosen vehicles/vehicles for a vehicle/vehicles that we consider more suitable for the conditions and that we have the right to cancel if the conditons are considered to be too dangerous for the hirer to be transported safely. In such cases a full refund will be given. The Company recommends that you are covered by adequate Wedding Insurance.
 
8. The hirer is responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle/vehicles by themselves and/or guests. A minimum charge of £100.00 will be made to cover valeting costs should fouling be caused by any passenger through food or illness. Smoking and eating is strictly forbidden in all vehicles.
 
9. Passengers are required to wear seat belts where fitted. We cannot carry children under 4 years of age unless accompanied by a parent. We can supply booster seats for children between 4 and 12 years old. Child seats must be supplied and fitted by a parent/guardian. Our chauffeurs will not be responsible for the fitting of the child seats.
 
10. We will not accept responsibility for any property left in the vehicles. Should it be necessary for us to return any property to the reception venue after returning to base a charge will be made to cover the costs. All attempts will be made by the chauffeurs to make sure that no property is left in the vehicles after departure.
 
11. We reserve the right to amend our terms and conditions at any time.
